What is the best quality for compression?

Does compressing a PNG keep it as PNG?

You can keep PNG, but photographic savings are usually larger going to WebP or JPG. PNG still helps if you reduce dimensions.

Is there lossless compression?

PNG is lossless in the classic sense; quality-based WebP/JPG use controlled lossy compression. Choose by priority: fidelity vs size.

Are my images stored?
