1. Controller

The controller of the SMALLIMG website (smallimg.com) is the owner identified in the legal notice (natural person in España). Contact: info@smallimg.com.

Tax ID (NIF): will be provided to competent authorities or to anyone who requests it legitimately via the contact email. An incomplete or provisional number is not published here.

2. What this site does (image conversion)

SMALLIMG conversion and compression tools process images in your browser (client-side). To convert or compress, we do not upload your files to a processing server: images do not leave your device through that flow.

The optional “Remove background” feature may download an AI model to your device (cached by the browser). That download is the model, not your photos.

3. Data we may process

  • Technical visit data: hosting or CDN may routinely log IP, user-agent, URL and time. We do not use those logs to deliberately identify people.
  • Optional analytics: if the operator enables Google Analytics 4 (PUBLIC_GA_ID), Google Tag Manager (PUBLIC_GTM_ID) or Plausible (PUBLIC_PLAUSIBLE_DOMAIN), aggregated usage metrics are collected (page views, product events such as convert or ZIP download), only after your consent in the cookie notice. Configure these variables in the build environment; no IDs are hardcoded.
  • Cookies and local storage: see the cookie policy. Conversion does not require first-party cookies; we may store your consent choice in localStorage.

4. Advertising (AdSense)

When AdSense is enabled in the build environment (`PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT`), Google’s publisher script loads on the site (for verification and, where applicable, ads). Google AdSense may set cookies. We do not yet show concrete ad units; advertising consent via a CMP may be refined later.

5. Legal basis and retention

Legitimate interest / technical necessity to provide the web service and, where applicable, consent for non-essential analytics. Hosting logs follow the provider’s policy. Analytics events follow retention configured in GA4/Plausible.

6. Your rights

You may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by contacting info@smallimg.com, and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
